Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) Online Training & Certification Prep
Understand the Microsoft 365 cloud platform — its productivity apps, collaboration services, security capabilities, and licensing model. MS-900 is the foundation credential for anyone working with or recommending Microsoft 365 solutions.

Course Overview
The Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) certification demonstrates foundational knowledge of the Microsoft 365 cloud services platform — the integrated suite that brings together productivity apps, collaboration tools, device management, and enterprise security under a single subscription model. It is appropriate for IT professionals, helpdesk staff, business stakeholders, and anyone beginning a learning path toward the Microsoft 365 associate certifications.
This course is structured around the three MS-900 exam skill domains. The first domain, cloud concepts and Microsoft 365 services, establishes the context for everything that follows. You will revisit key cloud computing principles as they apply specifically to Microsoft 365 — Software-as-a-Service delivery, shared responsibility boundaries, and how Microsoft 365 compares to on-premises Office deployments. The core applications and services are surveyed: Exchange Online for email and calendaring, SharePoint Online for intranet and document management, Microsoft Teams for unified communications, OneDrive for cloud storage, and the Microsoft 365 Apps suite (formerly Office 365 ProPlus).
The second domain covers identity, security, and compliance. Microsoft 365 is built on Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), and this section explains how users, licences, and multi-factor authentication work within a Microsoft 365 tenant. Security capabilities are examined through Microsoft 365 Defender — covering endpoint protection with Defender for Endpoint, email security with Defender for Office 365, and identity protection with Defender for Identity. Compliance tools including Microsoft Purview, data loss prevention, retention policies, and eDiscovery are introduced at the conceptual level appropriate for the exam.
The third domain addresses Microsoft 365 pricing and support: the licence plan families (Business, Enterprise, Frontline, Education), the add-on model for advanced security and compliance, and the support options available to Microsoft 365 subscribers. Understanding how organisations select and manage licences is a practical skill reinforced by the Live Labs.
All course content is delivered across three Boost eLearning modalities — on-demand video, live instructor-led sessions with Certified Partner instructors, and Live Labs in real Microsoft 365 environments. The Boost eLearning Pass Guarantee applies to MS-900.
